Pipes & piping systems

Our pipeline portfolio starts with a nominal diameter of DN25 and extends up to DN8000 in a special design, in the manual winding process or fully automatically with larger nominal widths on modern winding devices. Our different pipe types in pure and composite GRP are used here.

The pipe type is determined depending on the area of application and design (pressure, medium and temperature). The pure GRP types A, D and E according to DIN16965 / 66, as well as based on the DIN for our in-house pipe type K, primarily the pressure levels and resin types are considered. In the case of pipe types B and BK, in addition to the pressure rating and the resins used, the determination of the inliner is of relevance.

Piping

  • Our pipe type K is produced based on DIN 16965 Part 4 and has a chemical protective layer of 2.5mm. The layer structure contains 2 layers of C-glass fleece or a synthetic fleece with a subsequent glass mat structure.

The type of glass varies depending on the application (E or E-CR glass), also the resin to be used, the outer layer contains a C glass fleece with a weatherproof finish of 0.2mm. The glass content in the chemical protection layer contains approx. 5-15% in the first 0.8mm and then increases to approx. 25-30%. The load-bearing layer after the chemical protection layer has a glass content of 45% (+/- 5%).

Our pipe type K (and also type BK) each have an individual material certificate according to the pressure equipment directive:

Assessment Type K acc. DGRL 2014/68/EU
Assessment Type BK acc. DGRL 97/23/EG

  • The pipe type B is produced in accordance with DIN 16965 Part 2 with either UP or vinyl ester resins. The thermoplastic inliner can vary depending on the medium, application and temperature: PVC-U, PVC-C, Dekadur Plus, PVDF, PP, PE, ECTFE, PFA, MFA and FEP are possible here, the outer layer contains C fleece, a weather-resistant one Layer over 0.2mm thick.

Depending on the type, in addition to an adhesive layer of 1mm as an adhesion promoter on the sanded liner, a glass lamination (depending on the material) as adhesion for the load-bearing laminate structure is required. The glass content in the load-bearing laminate is 60 (+/- 5)%, with rovings, mats and textile glass fabrics made of E-glass being used. A pure roving structure is not permitted here.

This type of pipe is preferred for highly reactive media or applications.

  • The pipe type E corresponds to DIN 16965, part 5 and DIN 16966. The outer layer contains C-fleece and a weather-resistant resin layer of 0.2mm. The glass content of the first 2.5mm should be 30% (+ / 5%), after that this may increase to 40%.

This type of pipe is preferred for strong chemical applications.

  • Our pipe type BK is produced based on DIN 16965 Part 2 and has a thermoplastic inliner that varies depending on the application. This can consist of PE, PP, PVC-U red, PVC-U Dekadur Plus, PVDF, PP, E-CTFE, PFA, MFA and FEP. Depending on the type, in addition to an adhesive layer of 1mm as an adhesion promoter on the sanded liner, a glass lamination (depending on the material) as adhesion for the load-bearing laminate structure is required.

The layer structure corresponds to our pipe type K and also includes a C glass fleece as the outer layer, as well as a weather-resistant finish over 0.2mm. The type of glass varies depending on the application (E or E-CR glass), as does the resin. The load-bearing layer has a glass content of 45% (+/- 5%).

Our pipe type BK (and also type K as a basis) each have an individual material report according to the Pressure Equipment Directive:

Assessment Type K acc. DGRL 2014/68/EU
Assessment Type BK acc. DGRL 97/23/EG

  • The pipe type D is produced in accordance with DIN 16965 Part 4 with either UP or vinyl ester resins. The minimum thickness of the chemical protection layer is 2.5mm, the structure contains 1 layer of C-glass fleece or a synthetic fleece with a subsequent multi-layer glass mat structure made of E-glass (glass content of approx. 25-30%). The load-bearing laminate has a glass content of 60 (+/- 5)% and consists of fabric, mats and / or glass rovings made of E-glass. A pure roving structure is not permitted with this type of tube.

The outer layer also contains a C-fleece with a weatherproof finish of 0.2mm.

  • The pipe type A is produced in accordance with DIN 16965 Part 1 with either UP or vinyl ester resins. The minimum thickness of the chemical protection layer is 1 mm, the structure contains 1 layer of C-glass fleece or a synthetic fleece with a subsequent multi-layer glass mat structure made of E-glass. The outer layer also contains a C-fleece with a weatherproof finish of 0.2mm.

  • In addition to the standard pipe classes, as well as our in-house pipe class K and BK, we also manufacture pipes and fittings according to customer specifications in pure GRP and composite GRP. We are a certified supplier in the following pipe classes:

    • Covestro and Bayer works standard

    • Manufacturing according to DOW Global Spec

    • AKZO specification
Production according to

    • BASF specification

    • ThyssenKrupp Uhde specification
